Daniel J. Guttman appointed to Ohio Thoroughbred Race Fund Advisory Committee

Daniel J. Guttman, of Columbus, Ohio has been appointed by the Honorable Governor Mike DeWine to the Ohio Thoroughbred Race Fund (OSDF) Advisory Committee. Guttman, 48, will serve a term of three years. This is his second appointment to the OSDF.
Guttman is a longtime Thoroughbred owner with a JD from The Ohio State University and a partner in the Columbus, OH-based law firm of Baker Hostetler LLP.
Gutttman—a member of the Ohio Thoroughbred Breeders & Owners Association (OTBO)—has advised Thoroughbred syndicates on contracts, organizational matters and related activities. As well, he has owned horses racing in graded stakes and on the Breeders Cup undercard at tracks such as Churchill Downs, Keeneland, Santa Anita, Del mar and Gulfstream.
Guttman’s professional experience includes providing counsel to municipalities, airport and regional transit authorities, counties and sheriff’s offices, townships, Councils of Government, personnel appeals boards of review, civil service commission and other pubic and quasi-public bodies.
Guttman is listed in The Best Lawyers in America© and in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business©. He serves on The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law’s National Council of Advisors and on the Ohio Public Employer Labor Relations Association’s Statewide Legislative Committee, and was recipient of the Outstanding Managing Editor Award for his role as managing editor of The Ohio State Journal On Dispute Resolution.
