The Southern Park, a 6 furlong event for Ohio Registered 3-year-old fillies was originally scheduled for March 21st. The Noonan Stakes which runs at 6 furlongs for Ohio registered 3-year-olds was originally scheduled for April 4th.
Both stakes have been moved due to the quarantine situation at Mahoning Valley Race Course. Barn 4 is quarantined due to Strangles and barn 8 is quarantined due to Equine Herpes Virus. Due to these quarantines the Ohio Department of Agriculture is not allowing horses to ship into or out of Mahoning Valley.
